Super Bowl City presented by Verizon is the Host Committee’s free-to-the-public fan village designed to celebrate the milestone Super Bowl 50 and to highlight its unique place in the Bay Area.
Open January 30 – February 7, 2016.

 

Together with the NFL Experience Driven by Hyundai – pro football’s interactive theme park experience that will be held at the Moscone Center – Super Bowl City will be the hub of fan energy and excitement leading up to gameday at Levi’s® Stadium in Santa Clara.

Centered in Justin Herman Plaza, on the Embarcadero at the foot of San Francisco’s famed Market Street, Super Bowl City will feature family-friendly activities for fans of all ages. It will offer a fun – and free – way for locals and visitors alike to enjoy the extravaganza that is the sporting world’s biggest annual event.

 

Super Bowl City will be designed to showcase the best the Bay Area has to offer, with interactive games and activities that highlight the region’s technological prowess, culinary excellence and cultural diversity, as well as celebrate the 50th Super Bowl and the Bay Area’s place in professional football history.

What’s On Tap

  • From cultural performances and displays that highlight the artistic vitality of the region, to locally grown foods that capture the Bay Area’s epicurean spirit to NFL-themed activities, Super Bowl City will be a weeklong, family-friendly celebration.
  • The Fan Energy Zone powered by SAP celebrates the Bay Area’s leadership in technology and innovation, and will showcase the latest in interactive gaming, social media and data visualizations. The Fan Energy Zone will include three different but interlinked areas: the Fan Dome, the Fan Wall and the Fan Stage. Additional exhibits and activities will be announced in early January. 
  • More than 35 free performances by Grammy-winning headliners, community performers and local Bay Area favorites can be found on The City Stage presented by the Levi’s, including Grammy-winning artist Alicia Keys, Matt Nathanson, OneRepublic, The Band Perry and Chris Isaak.
  • For questions about accessibility, guests should contact us through our Community Hotline at 415-735-6927, or onsite, speak to one of our Host Committee volunteers for assistance. The Host Committee Volunteer team will be highly visible, wearing international orange-colored uniforms – the color of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are a limited number of manned golf carts available upon request at the Market Street and Embarcadero Entrances. Once guests have cleared security, they can request a golf cart from a Volunteer or Security personnel.

Saturday Night Lights – January 30 

  • Super Bowl City will be open for an extra weekend this year, providing many local residents the opportunity to experience the excitement of Super Bowl 50 before out-of-town guests arrive.
  • Both Super Bowl City and the NFL Experience will open Saturday, January 30 – with the day’s activities topped off by the official re-lighting of The Bay Lights on the Willie L. Brown, Jr. Bay Bridge, the Macy’s Fireworks Spectacular and a performance by the Bay Area’s own Chris Isaak.
