The 50 Tour: Champions of the Bay presented by Chevron concluded on a very high note as we ended in front of the Capitol Building in Sacramento on November 23rd, and were treated to an energized and excited group of San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders fans with a seemingly endless line from start to close. Our first fan was a former season ticket holder at Kezar, and from there, we heard the moments and memories that made these fans love these teams and the players so much. This was our experience throughout the Tour, meeting fans who had story after story of why these teams, these players, these wins meant so much to them, whether it was the fourth generation fan families who came together to relive a win, the fans who actually attended these wins in person, seeing the faces of fans who couldn’t believe they were seeing the real trophies in person, hearing adults say they have goosebumps again and again, or the woman who went into labor as she cheered on Joe Montana to his first win! Seeing Raiders and 49ers come together in celebration of their region could not be more special; that was what the Tour was all about.
As we look back, here are a few of the fun numbers:
Over the past two months, we had 28 event days as we traveled around the region to 18 different cities, hitting 11 counties.
We touched more than 550,000 people through our event days
We had 483 amazing volunteers onsite, getting fans excited about the 50 Tour and what is to come in Super Bowl City
And the most asked question: Are these trophies real? (Answer: yes!)
A huge thank you goes to everyone who came out to the 50 Tour!
